This once sleepy barrier island has become a hotspot due to its proximity to Charleston, beautiful white sand beach, and incredible quality of life.   It is a perfect combination of Southern gentille and relaxed island living.  It is a very family friendly beach community and kids cruise by on bicycles and skateboards, as neighbors walking dogs or putting around in golf carts wave hello.  Isle of Palms  has great parks and public facilities, and shares the same excellent school system as Sullivans Island.  In fact, as Sullivans Island real estate has become ultra-affluent, and Charleston has continued to grow, this little sliver of tropical paradise has found itself increasingly in the spotlight.
